In an upscale and beautiful residential area amid Honolulu's most exclusive golf courses, just beyond Diamond Head toward Koko Head lies the spectacular Kahala Hotel and Resort. The famous Hoku's restaurant has been remodeled and by late 2008 or early 2009 the hotel will open a new spa with 15 treatment rooms, a new pool, and spruced-up grounds. The lush grounds feature palms, waterfalls and coral-trimmed walkways.
